Hi Joey,
Thank you very much for joining Project Labdoo and for offering to help with the translations to Dutch. This is a new language in the platform so we appreciate even more your help. Also another big thank you to Leidy from Colombia who made the connections with you.
Everyone, i want to introduce Joey, who is a network engineer from Amsterdam, the Netherlands, and who recently reached out to us offering help with the translations and possibly laptop donations from his country.
Joey, here are the steps to get you started with translating the various components of the Labdoo platform:
- To translate the platform GUI, please follow the instruction in this page where it says "Translation of portable object (.po) files (estimated time 2 hours)": https://github.com/Labdoo/Labdoo/tree/master/translations#translation-of...
- To translate the automatic emails, please see this page where it says "Translation of email (.email) files (estimated time 2 hours)": https://github.com/Labdoo/Labdoo/tree/master/translations#translation-of...
The above components are part of Labdoo's github repository because they are part of the Labdoo source code.
The translation of the wiki is done directly on the web as it is an integral part of the platform. Ralf will be your main point of contact for any questions on the wiki. Also feel free to post your questions directly on this wall so others can also see them (learning from them and helping with answers as well). Also, in this page you will find a brief explanation on how to translate the wiki: https://www.labdoo.org/content/wiki-translations
One question: do you prefer to use the term "Dutch" or "Nederlands" for the language name? Labdoo runs on top of Drupal, and the engine is picking up the word "Nederlands" but we can change that.
Thank you and have a great day.
Jordi

Hi Jordi,
Hi Jordi,
Thank you for the warm welcome and the information. I'm glad to be able to help.
I'll start with the translations as soon as possible.
I would prefer "Nederlands" for the language name, this is the most common on the web.
Happy Easter everybody!
Joey
Hi Joey,

Thank you very much Joey for completing the translation of the Labdoo fields, the Labdoo buttons and all the email templates! this is a really relevant contribution. Great job also on following the manual to do the initial wiki translations.
I have uploaded your translations on the platform, so you can now check to make sure all is correct.
Your translations have also been committed to Labdoo source code repository in github:
