Dearest friends of ACTWID Switzerland,
We wish to give you many thanks for the donation of 282000frs which was taken and school registration for Blaise into the professional Higher institute for ICT here n Yaounde, Cameroon was done., This was because the university was opening its doors officially on 7th OCTOBER 2019. We did the registration into the first semester and got him into his room as the initial payment . The first semester fees actually for everything was 600000frs so we paid 282.000frs and 318.000frs cfa is still left to complete the first semester. He happily started the school and now we too are also happy that he has gone to school to upgrade his skills in ICT so as to complete the two years professional Course and come back to assist technically to disseminate all learnt to other ACTWID training staff volunteers as well as give all the trainees too the skilled technical know how. in management of the ICTs you have given us. For this we are all very happy .
As concerns the other students in ACTWID together with the trainers , as we already told you we have about 40 students who are very interested in ICT training, and these are all Internally Displaced youths, women and children from the seven Divisions of our Region all struggling with coping to live in the city of Bamenda now until the crises bring life back to normalcy in the region.
We also still have the Chosen children's club running in the center as you know who have been collaborating with Madam Fionas children from FGZ school. School here have started timidly still but the children are there and can brave it to come to their Penpal project activities in ACTWID too. Although many have been killed, many kinapped and heavy ransom needed before their release, children , women and youths are still having their hands on the plough and there is no turning back in ACTWID CAMEROON particularly when it comes to schooling and active participation.in our centre,so we are actually thanking the Almighty daily for having you there in Switzerland who are able to continue to put smiles on the faces of the suffering. All the women that have been raped, abused economically, sexually , battered, detained for no crimes of theirs with youths have had some released but not all. So we still continue to go on with our activities of psycho social support in our center of the GBV cases and IDPs with orphans and vulnerable children that we have been supporting and counseling over the years in ACTWID FREE of charge . This could not be possible without your able supportive hands and for all these we continue to pray to God to bless all of you abundantly on our behalf.
We forwarded some few photos of the iron gate, and iron doors and fence we had been constructing since the beginning of this year as we very much wanted to protect and save our computers from LABDOO . .So far we have accomplished some of the tasks especially the protection of the laptops from being stolen.
The remaining projects remain the fees of Blaise for the two years Degree Course in Computer Engineering, then the project of contuining to teach the Vulnerable children free computer, together with the IDPs, GBVs etc and a stipen for volunteers continue with the other penpal project.

THE USE (PURPOSE) OF LAPTOPS TO VULNERABLE CHILDREN:
These laptops will be used to teach children on how to utilize computers in the 21 st century. they will serve a vital role as leaning will become more practical than theoretical as before. More so, the knowledge on internet surfing and research will be realistic to these vulnerable children. Couple with the fact that these children are vulnerable and less privileged from poor family background.
Some of these kids live with HIV and some of them have parents who equally live with the virus. For over twenty years, we (ACTWID) have been dealing with the poor and marginalized children and adults in a club called “the chosen children`s club” for HIV and related diseases.
