Edoovillage #1610 - Romania, Boldesti-Scaeni: Mihai Viteazul Secondary School

The Secondary School „Mihai Viteazul” is located in the Boldesti-Scaeni city, a city with less than 12.000 people living in it. Altough it is not the only school in the city, it is the biggest one where about 900 students learn (from which 150 are Roma and about 300 students come from a very disadvantaged social background. One of the biggest problems the school is facing is a big rate of school abandonment. Any technology resources will help this school battle this abandonment rate and also support the already very involved teachers in their activities. The school has one IT laboratory with only 10, very old and poor, computers. The school needs these laptops in order to continue to implement digital activities such as: Europe Code Week events, Hour of Code events and eTwinning projects. The laptops will be mainly used by the primary school students which rarely and with very big difficulty have access to the laboratory, but any of the other students from the school will have access to them.
