ERIPOTO for girls and women, The organization was established to address the inequalities and discrimination many girls and women in Tanzania are facing. Women and girls have very little safety as well as access to education, and ERIPOTO aims to change that.
ERIPOTO for girls and women is a NGO with a safe house as the current key programme. ERIPOTO is currently sheltering 24 girls and young women, three toddlers and two boys, providing survivors of cultural violence, gender inequality and other challenges with meals, accommodation, health care and counselling. Residents of the safe house get access to
education since ERIPOTO is ensuring that all school necessities are provided. Some of the young women sheltered by ERIPOTO are going to attend college/university this year and
therefore require access to digital devices like laptops. The laptops are necessary for our girls as they provide access to educational resources, online courses and digital literacy programs, which are essential for their academic growth and future careers. With laptops the girls can:
-Conduct research and complete assignments
-Access e-learning platforms and educational softwares
-Develop essential digital skills that are crucial in todays tech-driven world
-Communicate and collaborate on projects both within and outside ERIPOTO community
