Answerid worldwide is a non-governmental organization that focuses on Enhancing youths especially women to build their capacity to use available resources to achieve social economic development. We do this by training youths’ hands on skills like liquid soap making, mushroom growing, juice making and computer literacy which enable them to earn a living. We currently have 10 staff members and train over 500(five hundred) youths every year.
What are your goals?
Our goals to train youths hands on skills that enable them earn a living. To achieve equal opportunities for youths by empowering them participate in social economic development.
What are you going to do with our laptops?
During these training we use computer devices for research and training plans. We also need computers during trainings whereby we encourage each trainer to do research through reading and watching videos on related topics for more knowledge. We make sure every youth has access to quality information, through this process we need computers for the trainers to plan trainings, document them and deliver accordingly. We also use visual representation in trainings that require youths to watch some pictures, videos to learn better. We do administrative work that concerns database management which requires computers and tablets.
How many teachers and pupils do you have?
We are currently having 12 staff members and we approximately support over 500 youths on yearly basis.
How will you maintain your laptops?
We plan to maintain these laptops in the following ways. We have team members with skills in computer engineering who will be in charge of maintenance and repairing. We have a working space equipped with furniture where these laptops will be kept so that whoever requires to use them has accessibility. We wish to keep in contact with you in order to develop together a plan to recycle some of the laptops in case they are out of service.
