Project description: 

Our school is located in western Uganda-East Africa. We have a vibrant population of 502 learners and 43 teachers. Our teaching and learning is however limited by inadequate ICT devices. We are appealing to labdoo to consider our request for the devices listed on the request sheet.
The project am handling is a mixed secondary school consisting of learners some of whom reside at school while others commute from home to come and study. Our goals Our school motto reads “For broader minds” in that, we would like our learners to look at the world in a wider perspective and to be problem solvers. Our mission is to prepare learners for self-reliance through knowledge and skills development. Our need for laptops We shall use them to teach learners Information Communication and Technology skills. We shall use them for academic research for both learners and teachers. The learners and teachers will store their data in the laptops for future reference. The school administrators shall use the laptops for monitoring school activities. The use of laptops will make learning more interesting and the learners more creative as they use these laptops. Enrollment We have 43 teachers and 502 learners in our school Training to teachers The school shall identify those teachers who need training and send them to the teachers of Information communication and technology for lessons on use of the computer Maintenance of laptops First of all, we shall teach our learners on the proper management of the laptops We intend to keep them safely in our ICT laboratory from where they will be picked for use. We intend to engage our school technician to occasionally update and service them.
