Project Summary: Im März 1996 wurde unter Führung von Franziska Dällenbach eine nicht staatliche Primarschule die Chisankano Community School, die Barfuss-Schule, eröffnet. Barfuss-Schule deshalb, weil hier die Kinder werde Schuhe noch Uniformen tragen müssen. Heute werden rund 140-150 Kinder unterrichtet weitere rund 100 Kinder werden je nach Bedürfnis mit Schulmaterial, Schulgeld, Unterkunftskosten und Kleidern unterstützt, damit sie die Sekundarschule besuchen können. Zudem werden ca. 15 junge Erwachsene finanziert, damit sie die Technische Hochschule, das Lehrer-Seminar oder die Berufsschule besuchen können. Die Schule beschäftigt 4 ausgebildete Lehrer und 1 Aushilfslehrerin, sowie 2 Köchinnen, einen Schreiner, eine ausgebildete Teilzeit Handarbeitslehrerin und einen Gärtner. Hilfsarbeiter/innen werden oft eingestellt sei es um ihre Notlage zu lindern oder weil die Schule besondere Arbeit zu vergeben hat. ------------------- In March 1996, a non-state primary school was founded by Franziska Dällenbach,the Barefoot School. Barefoot school because here the kids will need shoes or wear uniforms. Today approximately 140-150 children are taught and more about 100 children are supported, depending on the need of school supplies, school fees, accommodation fees and clothes, so that they can attend secondary school.
