Dear Labdoo Community and Everyone,
It’s amazing how far we’ve come together over these past 15 years. From a humble first trip to Central America to bring 10 laptops to a needy school, to now providing laptops loaded with powerful educational software to 2,819 schools in 152 countries, supporting more than 890,000 students around the world. This achievement is only possible thanks to the amazing energy and strength of our global community—thanks to all of you.
Labdoo today continues to be as thriving and vibrant a community as ever. Together, we have accomplished many milestones, including recently surpassing 50,000 laptops recycled and repurposed from the global circular economy. Such an effort not only opens doors to education for many kids around the world but also establishes a crucial global collaborative framework to fight against electronic waste and reduce CO2 emissions. Moreover, all this work addresses 8 of the 17 UN Sustainable Development Goals.
Labdoo was born with an idea: that when we work united, we can bring out the best in each of us to help tackle the global challenges we face. With the advent of numerous scientific achievements and the challenges of learning how to best manage powerful emerging technologies like artificial intelligence, our mission to help every child on the planet achieve an education and to level the playing field is more important than ever before.
Happy 15th anniversary to all of you, and thank you once again for the amazing teamwork. We are excited about the possibilities ahead as we continue to work together globally to help every child gain access to education.
