Thanks for introducing the Ubuntu-Mate. I
installed it to one of the laptops and it seems to be fast. I will try to install it in a slower machine, which currently is good with lubuntu, but having problem with ubuntu desktop, and I'll let you know if the problem gets improved.

(Changing all the drawings for the semaphores would be a lot of work, and usually semaphores have three colors, but i can definitely add a "Project Completed"...
