Hi I recently discovered this tool in a video: https://docs.mrchromebox.tech/
It could be a possibility to re-use and install Labdoo in chromebooks that are usually sotware locked.
Sometimes with a small improvement of the SSD and RAM they have the hardware good enough to run Labdoo and they are compact.
I have not tried yet, but if a chromebook comes in hand I will give it a try for sure
