The ethernet card doesn't seem to work well. Additional tests should be done on it.
WiFi connection to internet works well using PC-card or USB WiFi devices.
Google Chrome has been installed and set up as the default browser. The system offers Chromium by default but it is difficult to enable Chromium to see Flash content (at least I wasn't able to do so after trying several things). Google Chrome works perfectly well to see YouTube, Khan Academy, TED, Coursera, MIT Open Courseware, and so on.
The whole edubuntu package has been installed, and works very well.
