A big Thank you to Javier, Labdoo Hub Munich for the new and improved autodeploy script.
It takes into account the modifications of Lubuntu 18.04 LTS (no swap partition anymore; 64 Bit-images have to be cloned using the 64 Bit mode of Parted Magic).
The script will do all installation jobs for automatically :) Remove the data, select the best fitting image for cloning, install the image, adapt the partition to the disc-size and even shut-down the computer, if you want. So you have free time and leave work to the computer :)
The script can be configured. You can add your own images, if any. Or you can modify and pre-set the path, where to take the images from, e.g. server / NAS. By default the script reads the images from an external USB-disc (typically /sdb)
The handling is easy

• start Parted Magic; copy autodeploy_18.sh to the desktop; make it executable (right mouse click on the script on desktop - Properties - Permissions - Execute: Owner and Groups); double click and run in a terminal
• The script collect hardware information of the computer (CPU 32/64 Bit, size of disc-drive etc.).
• Next select the language of a pre-packed image, you want to install (EN, DE, ES, FR).
• The script will show you those images, which match to your hardware and disc-size. You choose an image.
• It it matches the script starts to remove all data from the disc-drive.
• The chosen image will be installed and at the end the partition will be sized to the maximum (disc-size).
• Finished :)

Danke an Javier vom Hub München für das neue und verbesserte autodeploy-Skript.
Das Skript erledigt alles automatisch für euch :) Die Daten sicher löschen, das am besten passende Image for Cloning auswählen und installieren, die Partition an die Festplattengröße anpassen und auf Wunsch den Rechner am Schluss herunterfahren :)
Es berücksichtigt die Neuerungen in Lubuntu 18.04 LTS (kein swap mehr; 64 Bit-Images müssen im 64 Bit-Mode von Parted Magic installiert werden).
Das Skript ist ist konfigurierbar. Ihr könnt eigene Images ergänzen. Oder den Pfad zu den Images voreinstellen, z.B. zu einem Server / NAS. Voreingestellt ist das Einlesen der Images von einer externen USB-Platte (meist /sdb)
Die Bedienung ist einfach

• Parted Magic starten; autodeploy_18.sh auf den Desktop kopieren; ausführbar machen (rechter Mausklick auf das Skript auf dem Desktop - Properties - Permissions - Execute: Owner and Groups); Doppelklick und im Terminal ausführen
• Das Skript ermittelt die technischen Daten des Rechners (CPU 32/64 Bit, Größe Festplatte usw.).
• Dann wählt ihr die gewünschte Sprache eines vorkonfigurierten Images aus (EN, DE, ES, FR).
• Das Skript zeigt euch die Images, die zu eurer Hardware passen würden. Ihr wählt ein Image aus.
• Das Skript löscht die Festplatte.
• Das ausgewählte Image wird installiert und am Ende die Partition auf die maximal mögliche Größe gebracht.
• Fertig :)
