Hello,
I have been reviewing the material you facilitate and I find very helpful for example the "Dootrip Brochure" for example at the time ato create some publicity that could provide some dootravleres in our Hubs.

There is one thing though that I would suggest to change and it is that on it, it is requested to reach out for the...
Hello every one in the Labdoo Teams!
We wanted to wish you all a Happy New Year 2018 and share with you how good 2017 was in terms of the global progress achieved by the Labdoo Project and thanks to all of you.
Here are some 2017 highlights:
- 37% increase in dootronics tagged compared to 2016 (this past year we tagged a total of 3735 dootronics, that's more than 10 laptops a...
My nephew Bernat has been helping me this afternoon repairing one laptop ... so this is really his idea. He asked if we knew about Chalet OS, a new linux distribution related to Google, with an Interface that emulates Windows. I don't enven have an opinion on wheather this is a good thing or not. Have you heard about it? What do you think about it?
Thanks
Hello,
I have a couple of ACER ASPIRE ONE to be cleaned. They come with a 8GB HDD (I suppose it's an SSD).
I have installed Lubuntu on them but I can't get the OS running properly. Has anyone got stuck on the same problem before?
Thanks in advance!
Paz
Hi everyone. Is it possible for me to sanitize donated iPads if I have a charger? If so, do I need some technical/digital experience to do it?
I'm in the process of sanitizing several donated laptops. One of the laptops I've received (Toshiba NB255 netbook) doesn't have a CD drive. Last time this occurred, I was able to boot Lubuntu from a USB drive which I still have. I've reorganized the boot menu for the computer to boot from the USB first, but I'm getting the message "Exiting PXE ROM" and then it starts Windows normally.
What...
I received an email from someone willing to donate a laptop - she says it works well but the monitor is broken. Is this something we would be interested in?
Thanks,

Hi All,
I have an old 2001-era IBM ThinkPad A22m that was donated to my hub. I was skeptical that it could be used at all (800 MHz CPU, 256MB installed memory), but thought I would give it a try.
When I turn it on, it doesn't even boot up. I get the a black screen with the following message:
"ERROR
0271: Check date and time settings
Press to Setup"
I am able to access BIOS and...
Hi Bart,
Thanks for introducing the Ubuntu-Mate. I
installed it to one of the laptops and it seems to be fast. I will try to install it in a slower machine, which currently is good with lubuntu, but having problem with ubuntu desktop, and I'll let you know if the problem gets improved.

Hello all! This post is to see whether it would make sense for Labdoo if the dootronics shipped to Africa were equipped with (software) keyboards to support writing in local languages. From my own experience there is interest in local communities - here is the background story:
I have been recently in Cameroon with Labdoo laptops creating an IT class in a school at Younde. When in Cameroon,...
