Hello,

As you know, one of the important missing translation components is the Labdoo menus, as they show only in English regardless if you select a different language. This has been a long standing remaining item and finally we are now ready to translate it thanks to some internal improvements in the Labdoo workflow.

So i wanted to ask to those of you who have been helping out translating Labdoo, if you could please translate the following simple words to your language of choice (please do the translation directly in the following Google doc):

https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/1QJl9fY-KqPBrp3GqKbg9jkgfRU1SPRsn...

There is another improvement coming along for translations, which will allow us to resolve some if the issues we have when switching languages for some base pages like "About Labdoo" or "Getting started", among others. I will describe this other improvement later on. For now, please help by translating the words in the above document. It will only take a few minutes, but make a big difference to all the users.

Thank you very much for being such strong supporters of the Labdoo cause.

Jordi

Thank you all of you for providing the translation to the Labdoo menus!

Your translations have been uploaded. It was a bit tedious because it required to manually push each sentence individually, so i wanted to ask if you could please check that your translations were correctly uploaded. To do that, please go to https://www.labdoo.org/ and on the drop down language menu (upper right side of the page) select your language. Then click the various options on the main navigation menu (the menu on the very top of the page) and check that your translations are correct. Let me know if there is any error, thank you.

Hi Jordi,

sorry for the delay, Frank and me worked on the reply together. We prefer to drop the artificial wording like dootronic etc. as much as possible. So we ask you to use the wording as we put into the translation table:

not: Dootronics better use: -> IT-Spenden

please change: Anzeigen -> Anzeigen IT-Spenden (Dootronics)
not: Tag it! -> IT-Spende registrieren

not: Dootrips better use -> Flugpaten
not: Neu anlegen, better use -> Flugpatenschaft anlegen

Projekte:
not: Neu anlegen, better use -> Projekt neu anlegen

Hubs:
not: Neu anlegen, better use -> Hub neu anlegen

Newsletter
not: Neuen Beitrag anlegen, better use -> Neuen Newsletter erstellen
not: Verwalten, better use -> Newsletter verwalten

In case of any question please contact Frank or me, thanks.

Ralf

Hi Jordi,
many, many thanks. Do drop the artificial wording from the German homepage is a great help. Most people don't like "dootronics", "dootrips" etc. It is a pity that English and other language don't have matching words in the every-day language. But "Flugpate" (dootrip) or "IT-Spende" (dootronics) tells everybody in German what is meant. But this discussion is an old one :)
