Team(s):
I have a question. Today I got 2 pretty old MacBooks (from 2008 or 2009) and am trying to labtix them.
They are booting from the Labtix stick, but only into a command line, not to a desktop.
Can we do something with that? Has anyone ever had this?

These devices seem to be too
These devices seem to be too old, may-be they come with 32 Bit-CPUs. Labtix needs a 64 Bit-CPU and devices max. ca. 12 years old. You should remove parts for re-use and recycle the rest. see the German FAQ https://www.labdoo.org/deu/de/faq#FAQ04.
PS:
PS:
And set fail-safe option (nearly each Apple needs it), optional also nomodeset.
Today I have a newer MacBook
Today I have a newer MacBook Pro A1398 (approx. 10 years old) with the same problem. It only boots into a command line, not into the GUI.
Neither "failsafe" nor "failsafe-nomodeset" help.
Should work as you describe
Should work as you describe it. Ask a Labdoo helper at Stade or Hamburg nearby, if they can help you.
