What can you do at the workshop?
(1) Bring or drop off your used laptops!
Working Windows or Mac (Intel) with power adapter. (Your data will be purged)
(2) Sanitize!! Wipe data & install education software. No technical skill needed!
(3) Plan to travel abroad soon? Take a laptop(s) with you in in your suitcase and deliver to the school at your destination city!

About laptops to donate
Q: What do I need to bring?
A: 1) Your laptop AND 2) the power cable.
Q: My laptop is old... is that OK?
A: We install Linux base Ubuntu software that runs much more efficient than Windows. No need worry! (Hardware requirement - https://www.labdoo.org/content/about-dootronics)
Q: Can I bring a Mac?
A: Yes, as long as it is a Intel base Mac (not PowerPC... which is a very old Mac).
Q: Can it have any damages?
A: The laptop has to be functional (e.g. keyboard works, no cracks to screen, etc) so when the students receive it, they can use the laptop for their education!
Q: I am worried about the personal data....
A: We wipe the data by this method https://www.labdoo.org/content/delete-all-data-hard-disk. If you are still worried, please delete your personal data before donating it (we will still erase the data using our method to be more sure!)
Q: My laptop is big.
A: Yes, we get a big laptops too!! (picture)
About Sanitation
Q: I do not have any technical skills...
A: Me neither! Labdooers will be there to help you sanitize. In Catalunia, many high schools students sanitize many laptops as their extracurricular activities. So you can do it too!!
