Project description:

Die Gesamtschule Stettiner Straße wurde 2016 gegründet und umfasst derzeit die Jahrgänge 5 bis 8. Sie ist an der südlichen Stadtgrenze Düsseldorfs im Stadtteil Garath gelegen. Unsere Schülerschaft ist sehr heterogen, mit unterschiedlicher sozialer, kultureller und sprachlicher Herkunft. Knapp ein Viertel der Schülerschaft und ihrer Eltern ist nicht in Deutschland geboren, viele sind aus ihren Heimatländern geflüchtet. Ihre Herkunftsländer liegen in Vorderasien (Syrien und Irak), gefolgt von Russland, dem slawischen Raum und Nordafrika. Einige kommen auch aus dem europäischen Ausland. Insgesamt mehr als die Hälfte aller Schülerinnen und Schüler (64%) hat einen Migrationshintergrund.
Mehr als die Hälfte der Eltern erhalten Transferleistungen. Ebenfalls bei mehr als der Hälfte der Kinder in diesem Jahrgang wird zuhause nicht Deutsch gesprochen. Wir möchten in der Zeit des Distanzlernens gerne gleiche Startbedingungen bieten, einen Beitrag zur Bildungsgerechtigkeit leisten, um den Schülerinnen und Schülern gleiche Bildungschancen zu bieten.
