The school started in 2017. We are supporting the school financially since 2021. The school has a photovoltaic System installed that powers a water pump. But it only runs a couple hours a day. The rest of the time laptops could be charged. A first visit took place in 2024.

Story


How it began

The people of St. Jude wanted their children to receive education without the need for a long and dangerous hike. A local priest, Fr. John Batiika, decided to help the community and to raise funds in Germany. He got the official support from the bishop and has since then raised enough money to build 9 class rooms, a solar powered water pump, and bathrooms. The school is expanding and wants to build a dormitory next.
