The initiative to deliver a laptop to a school is awesome and very innovative. It's unique way of contributing to the realisation of the Sustainable Development Goals in a sustainable manner while helping both children and teachers in less resourced areas access quality learning resources and enjoy learning, is commendable. We are excited to be associated with this great work and commit to support reach thousands of children in communities that we serve.

CRESNET is a non-profit organization actively supporting inclusion as a basic human right of every child. The organization works to promote access to quality by raising public awareness and advocating for restructuring of mainstream provision of education and child protection services to value, respect and support the learning and development of all children regardless of ability, ethnic/cultural background or any other differences.
CRESNET works closely with primary school learners, teachers and schools within an outside the capital city to build the capacity of teachers by training them on how to handle children with specials needs and disabilities in their classrooms, learner centred teaching pedagogy and integration of technology in learning. In the last 3 years, we have worked with 4 low cost private schools in Nairobi where we have contributed to improve the well being, teaching and learning processes for close to 500 learners. We have achieved this by engaging the school managers to help improve their school plans and programmes, school operation and management practices including development of child safeguarding policies and dissemination of the national education policies and regulations to them. In one of the schools, the Juniorrate (formely the St. Mary's School), we introduced digital skills training for teachers and pupils to learn basic computer skills and access interractive digital resources. This was made possible with the donation of 3 laptops received from Labdoo in 2022. So far close to 150 children have accessed different learning resources in the laptops.
We recently opened a Community Hub in Kisii on the western part of Kenya to offer "after school services" and digital skills training to primary school learners. The Tusome Early years Hub, seeks facilitate access to digital learning and bridge the digital divide in areas where access to internet and digital skills training is limited. We are equippng the hub with computers and laptops that children from the age of 5 years can use to access digital resources to improve their academic and digital skills. The learners coming to Hub are supported by volunteer Learner Support Assistants (LSAs) to access learning resources in the computers and offer instructional lessons during school holidays and even when schools are open. The Laptops we are requesting will be used in the Hub to serve approximately 100 children beginning from the coming November/ December school holiday
