The Little Way Roman Catholic Junior High School was established by the St. Theresa's Parish in 2015, Tamale as a private school and later was handed over to the community as a public school. The school is situated at the premises of St. Theresa's Parish in Lamashegu, Tamale in the Northern Region of Ghana, West Africa. It currently serves diverse students population of 178 whose ages ranges from 12 to 16 years, with 12 teachers.
The school has a trained ICT teacher with a number of the teaching staff having fair knowledge on the use of computers for teaching. To ensure the effective use of the computers, we will collaborate with the IT Department of the Tamale Metro Education Directorate and the Catholic Education Unit to provide students and teachers with training in the use of the technology and resources available to enhance teaching and learning.
This will include hands-on training sessions, online resources, and technical support. The computers will provide students with a valuable learning experience and prepare them for the challenges of the future.
PURPOSE
To assist students to appreciate the beauty and diversity of culture, which will help students become well-cultured citizens of the modern world.
GOALS
1. To help students become competent and confident users who can use the basic knowledge and skills acquired to assist them in daily lives.
2. To prepare the students for the world of tomorrow, which aims at helping them to have an open and flexible mind.
3. To equip students with the appropriate social skills required to cooperate with fellow ICT students for a more productive learning experience.
4. To facilitate good communication between students and teachers, thus promoting better social understanding.
