Project description:

Die Engata Pre- and Primary School ist eine von der Massaigeführten NGO MAPED gegründete und geführte Grundschule, die den Kindern in der Südmassai-Steppe in Norden Tansanias den Zugang zu Bildung ermöglicht. Dank eines neuen Photovoltaik-Systems hat die Schule seit diesem Jahr eine dezentrale Stromversorgung. Um den SchülerInnen den Umgang mit Computern nahe zu bringen und ihnen wichtige digitale Kompetenzen zu vermitteln, soll für die älteren Klassenstufen (ab Klasse 5) ein Computerunterricht eingeführt werden. Dafür soll an der Schule ein Computerraum eingerichtet und den LehrerInnen eine IT-Schulung gegeben werden. Zusätzlich sollen die Computer zum Austausch der LehrerInnen nach Deutschland sowie zur Vorbereitung von Unterrichtsstunden genutzt werden.
