Divine Foundation Inc. is a 501c3 nonprofit organization that operates to meet the expectations of sustainable development in the United States, India, West and Central Africa. We empower social, and economically under-served youths, women, men and vulnerable to identify and solve lively challenging problems to improve their living standard. Giving them opportunities to engage in poverty alleviation activities, long lasting hunger solutions, access to quality and sustainable education for better livelihood.
We are soliciting for laptops to supplement our ongoing ''Technology for education project, mobile computer lab for quality education'' in Human Resource Management and Information Technology Institute (HRMITI), a Department/school under Higher Institute of Business Management and Technology (HIBMAT) Buea, South West Cameroon. We have made charitable efforts to assist with technology infrastructure and staff development in HRMITI School UNDER HIBMAT to ensure quality and sustainable education. We have helped the school to establish their mobile computer lab with 15 laptops, while the school has employed a full-time network technician; and we have developed a technology professional development strand to ensure continuous improvement in the integrated use of technology. Given the growing population of students, and through interviews with teachers/students, we have found that the school mobile computer lab with few laptops is insufficient to meet the central need of their staff and the growing student’s population: immediate and consistent access to the local network, class-based research and the Internet. An inclusive and holistic student's access to mobile lab is seriously hindered. The 1:1 digital conversion initiative is yet to be met in the mobile computer lab. We are seeking laptops to supplement our charitable efforts to help HRMITI to set up their mobile computer lab with at least 15 additional laptops to promote inclusive and holistic quality education among social and economically under-served students, promote staff development, and assessment of a 1:1 computer initiative. The computer lab will enhance student’s class-based research and integration in information technology, to meet the academic standards of other schools, thereby encouraging academic equality and increase test scores.
