On behalf of Management, Staff and Students of Koforidua Victory Vocational Technical Institute, we wish to express our profound appreciation to Labdoo for the free donation of laptop and computers to the school.
The donation of the computers has now ushered the school to an era of using IT equipment in the classroom. This will facilitate knowledge transfer of modern teaching techniques utilizing ICT to make the teaching of conceptual subjects faster and easier, and also creating time efficiencies.
For some of the students it will provide opportunity to use computers for the first time which will help raise their core skills and confidence in ICT
We are happy to say that this donation contributes to achievement of Sustainable Development Goals in the following ways.
The donation will contribute directly to Target 4.1 of SDG 4, by improving vocational and technical educational outcomes. Additionally, students are gaining relevant technical skills that will improve their job prospects, contributing to Target 4.4.
Besides, it also directly contributes to Target 5.B of SDG 5, by actively promoting the usage of equipment by both genders, ensuring that no individual is excluded.
Furthermore, the donation has giving opportunity to students in our vocational and technical school, to access information and communications technology, directly contributing to Target 9.C of SDG 9.
Equally important is the fact that since the computers are refurbished and being reused the donation is directly contributing to Target 12.5 from SDG 12, by reducing e-waste and allowing technology to be reused.
