We have a number of programs at FBF Including:
Ø The Mwanzo Imara Fellowship (MIF) which is aimed at empowering youth in Tanzania. The program lasts for two months, and it targets decision-making classes in secondary schools in Tanzania, Form IVs and Form VIs, to equip them with essential life and entrepreneurship skills, digital skills, together with mentorship, and coaching.
Ø Ujana Wetu Outreach is aimed at improving the lives of out-of-school youth. The program takes a participatory approach to ensure that both in-school and out-of-school youth are involved in finding solutions to challenges they face in their daily lives. The program seeks to provide support to out-of-school youth by addressing their mental health needs and ensuring they have access to resources and opportunities that will help them achieve a better quality of life.
Ø The Binti Imara program is aimed at addressing the unique challenges faced by girls in communities. The program recognizes that girls face numerous obstacles in their education journey and seeks to provide support to help them overcome these challenges. The program's primary focus is on ensuring that girls have a safe and conducive learning environment in school. This includes providing girls with the necessary resources and support to complete their education and acquire knowledge and skills that will prepare them for the labor market.
Why are we requesting the laptops?
Our NGO conducts regular life and entrepreneurships skills training sessions with an average attendance of 50 to 100 pupils per session, digital skills is an essential skill for the future and we would like to incorporate this in our training. These sessions aim to equip the participants with essential technological skills vital for their academic and professional growth. To facilitate these sessions effectively, we rely on the dedication of two volunteer teachers (these are IT trained and practicing volunteers) who generously contribute their time and expertise to support our cause.
To further enhance the quality of education and ensure comprehensive learning experiences, we are kindly requesting donations of 30 laptops and 10 eReaders. These will serve as indispensable tools during the training sessions, enabling our pupils to engage actively in hands-on learning and practical exercises.
