2. Project Description - Please explain about your project and how you will use the laptops (*):

The Laptops or Desktop being requested will be used to teach STEM and Information Technology and Computer lessons for our children thereby helping us to improve access and quality of education for all children regardless of their background. Recently the government made it mandatory to teach STEM and information, Technology and computer studies (ITC) in all schools yet many schools including Tonse community education did not receive any support or donation for computers to provide this service, meaning our learners are left behind. The current situation at the school is that twenty (20) vulnerable pupils share one computer making it difficult for the teacher to teach lessons properly. Hence if the foundation receives the Laptops/Desktops donations needed, this will increase the learner to computer ratio will improve which in turn will improve the learning. Having laptops for both teachers and learners will mitigate the impact of Covid-19 on our education system and making us ready for future eventualities such as Covid-19 disruptions where we had to close down and our pupils couldn’t learn due to lack of computers and Laptops. Covid-19 has made teachers and learners learn a new way of learning and for Topping Crue foundation, things remained the same as we cannot change how we do things or method of learning and teaching without proper resources such as computers.
The Laptop donations will make it easier for our teachers to engage pupils in substantive, collaborative, project-based work. Laptops will also make planning and group communication easier for the teachers. Laptops will also make easier Computer based work-such as writing and revising, printing, and sharing or collecting data which is one of many activities happening in the classroom. Your donation will make help teachers to engage pupils in inquiry-oriented, project-based learning.
